The production of multilayer pipes – right from the start, this business concept proved to be a great success.

Founded in 2004, we now employ more than 100 members of staff and produce over 60 million running metres per year of high-quality products for housing technology and industrial solutions. As a result, we have established ourselves as one of the leading OEM producers of multilayer pipes in Europe.

Today, WRW has outstanding material, connection and process expertise which is unique. Historie

2004

WRW is founded in Ahlen when it registered a patent for its new production method.

2007

First ETA-certified multilayer composite pipe with CE marking.

2008

Construction of a production hall and an administration building.

2009

Start of volume production of the first overlap-welded multilayer pipe using laser technology.

2010

Certification of a QM system according to DIN EN ISO 9001.

2012

Five machines running 4 shifts, annual production capacity of 45 to 50 million running metres, 65 employees, WRW awarded the Town of Ahlen’s Business Award 2012

2014

Plant expansion by erecting a storehouse right next to the production hall, an additional floor is added to the administrative building.

2015 / 2016

Capacity expansion by setting up a sixth machine and two finishing machines: one for hook-and-loop tape and another for pipe-in-pipe, construction of a new logistics hall, 80 employees

2017

Capacity expansion to 60 million running meters p.a.

Recruitment of the hundredth employee.

The product range is extended by DN 90 mm and 110 mm.

A new testing device for multilayer composite pipes is integrated into the production line.

2018

Development of PPR multilayer pipes.

A new testing device is used to monitor the surface.

2019

Expansion of the product range by a new flexible multilayer composite pipe.

Introduction of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) which serves to increase product quality.
